Sen. Blackburn Demands Justice: Unredacted Epstein Flight Logs to Be Subpoenaed by Senate Judiciary Committee

The United States Senate Judiciary Committee recently announced a request for one of their first acts to be the release and examination of unredacted flight logs belonging to Jeffrey Epstein. This request was made by the ranking member of the committee, Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, in a letter sent to the committee chairman, Senator Dick Durbin. In the letter, Blackburn called the events surrounding Epstein’s death an “alleged suicide” and stated that in order to fully investigate these events, “it is imperative that the Judiciary Committee exercises its oversight responsibilities and obtains the full and unredacted logs of the flights, including logbooks, manifests, and other materials.” The request was made due to the suspicions surrounding the late billionaire’s apparent suicide that have arisen in the months since the scandal broke. Blackburn’s call for an examination of the logs belonging to Epstein show that the Senate Judiciary Committee is committed to getting to the bottom of the matter and holding those accountable who should be. The letter, sent by Blackburn on behalf of the Judiciary Committee, also states that “the Committee is examining the evidence of the myriad of entities and individuals who crossed paths with Jeffrey Epstein and his related entities.” By requesting the unredacted logs, Blackburn is attempting to uncover the full scope of activities conducted by Epstein and close associates. The full scope of Epstein’s crimes has still yet to be uncovered and it is up to the Senate Judiciary Committee to determine the truth behind them. Blackburn’s call to subpoena the unredacted flight logs is a step in the right direction towards uncovering more facts about this huge potential scandal. With the information contained in the logs, Senator Blackburn and the committee have the chance to unravel part of the Epstein mystery and bring accountability to those involved.
